Benefits of HIFU
1. HIFU Renews Collagen
It's a scientific fact that a hifu treatment will increase collagen in the SMAS. This layer in the skin connects the facial muscles to the dermis. It is also the layer surgeons operate in for a face and neck lift.
2. HIFU Lasts Around 12 Months
Hifu results can take up to 2/6 months to develop. Once it's peaked, it will last around another 10/12 months depending on your lifestyle eg: alcohol and sun bathing can degrade the skin.
3. HIFU Lifts & Tightens the Skin
Collagen starts to renew immediately causing the skin to tighten and lift. Each client differs. Body & Face areas vary. Some may need several treatments. Once peaked, the treatment lasts around a year. For some, it can be 18 months.
How Does HIFU Work?
HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Originally used for medical procedures, including vaginal rejuvenation, HIFU has been embraced in the aesthetics and beauty industry for its remarkable side effect of renewing collagen in one of the deepest layers of our skin.

HIFU is particularly effective for lifting and tightening saggy skin, especially on body areas such as inner thighs, bums, and tummies. We often combine it with fat freezing, as a reduction in fat can sometimes lead to sagging skin.

This high-intensity focused ultrasound targets the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) to stimulate the renewal of collagen and elastin. As these proteins gather, the skin naturally tightens and lifts, providing a rejuvenated appearance.
More Information About HIFU Treatments
Our clients say they hardly feel anything at all. Others say they feel a prickly or tingling feeling as the ultrasound enters the skin. It is not 100% painless, but it’s definitely tolerable. We use a water based skin gel to reduce the sensation.
A lot of our clients see some immediate effect after their very first treatment, but the ultimate results will take place over a period of 2-3 months, as your body naturally regenerates its collagen.
Please remember whilst HIFU carries far fewer risks and costs than a surgical face lift, results may not last as long and repeated procedures may be needed.
For best results you should have 3 treatments with 3 months in between each one. Then, you should not have anything for up to 2 years.
How many treatments do I need?
Many clients may only require one treatment. However, everyone’s skin is different and some people may require multiple treatments to get the desired effects.
Is HIFU Safe?
HIFU is viewed as the safest of procedures known for fixing and lifting the face. Tens of thousands of these procedures have been performed securely around the world.
Are there any side effects?
No matter how common or safe a treatment is, everything has side effects! Even water is carcinogenic, it's just that you couldn’t drink enough to register an effect!

Side effects with HIFU are extremely rare but they can include:

Temporary Blotchy Skin: This was the most common side effect reported by patients during a study researching the effectiveness of HIFU. Treated areas can become red and blotchy, particularly if your skin is sensitive and prone to redness. This side effect is not permanent, usually going away a few hours after the treatment.

A Little Pain: Some people are a lot more sensitive than others, meaning they may feel some pain whilst receiving treatment. If you happen to be one of these sensitive people, We will happily pop some numbing cream on you. We haven't had to numb any client so far. Our therapists are well trained and qualified and know to be aware about our clients skin sensitivity.

Mild Swelling: Each person’s skin is different and there are a few people who may find their skin become a little swollen after their treatment. This will disappear after a few hours.

Numbness: Numbness is extremely rare. If it happens it is likely around the delicate areas such as the eyes and lips and can last for a few days. This is because as HIFU penetrates the very deepest layers, occasionally this can cause some micro damage which can lead to numbness. The skin however will heal on its own and might juts feel a bit strange for a couple of days!

Hyper-pigmentation: While very rare, this is a side effect that is potentially permanent. Hyper-pigmentation causes the skin to change colour and become a bit darker. Although we have never experienced this before with any of our clients, nor heard of this happening with any astheticians we know, we still need to make our clients aware that is still an incredibly rare yet possible risk with HIFU.
