How many of you really remembered to apply 50% + SPF block every morning this Summer?
We're welcoming Autumn in now and the skin benefits from the damper, darker days but it still requires a collagen boost after the sun damage all Summer.
In my last blog post I wrote about ingesting collagen and gave you some facts about the efficacy of taking bovine or marine collagen.
The only collagen boost our skin benefits from is that which occurs when our skin - or the layers under the skin - is damaged in some way. This damage happens when we cut our skin or have a spot that starts to heal. When our skin is damaged, our body renews collagen in that area.
The best ways to rejuvenate your skin this Autumn include:
Needling - a roller is used to pierce the outer layers of the skin
Diode - A laser that heats the inner dermal shape of the skin pores, whilst cooling superficial skin to stimulate the formation of collagen and elastin – rejuvenating the skin, enhancing the tone, texture and overall appearance of the skin.
Chemical Peels - used to treat wrinkles, superficial scarring, age spots and discoloration. An acid solution is applied to dissolve skin cells and remove the top layers of the epidermis.
Active Fillers - Apart from Botox and fillers, aetheticians can now inject RADIESSE® which stimulates the skin to produce collagen. This will restore volume in your skin, smooth away wrinkles and improve your skin quality in the long term. It lasts about a year.
HIFU - Hifu treatment uses ultrasound energy targeting below-the-surface layers of the skin. Ultrasound energy heats the skin tissue rapidly and creates controlled cellular damage. This damage stimulates the cells to produce more collagen and promotes the skin renewal process. Non invasive, no downtime or needles. Lasts up to a year.
We offer both Diode and HIFU. Our clients will be receiving our Autumn offer by email soon.!
I hope this post helps you decide on what is the best treatment for your skin this Autumn.
See you soon
Jane
