How long does fat freezing last?
Your fat freeze treatment results will last as long as you maintain it. If you continue to eat too much, or eat the wrong foods or drinks and are sedentary your body will store excess food. Your body can make new fat cells to store that extra intake. Most of our clients maintain their new shape for around a year and others for always. Some pop back for new body areas to be treated.
Can you fat freeze the whole body?
Yes. We offer full body treatments with fat freezing but it is often combined with HIFU, emsculpt and fat dissolving injections to ensure the contouring of the body is natural looking. We can freeze fat from the calves up to the top of the back. Body shaping is achieved by a trained and experienced therapist who understands anatomy and physiology.
Is freezing my fat better than having liposuction?
The choice really boils down to your comfort level with undergoing a surgical procedure like liposuction. From our perspective, we're strong advocates of non-surgical options. Why? Well, the benefits are quite appealing. With non-surgical treatments, you sidestep the whole downtime ordeal, the discomfort, the need for anesthesia, and even the post-treatment care, all of which can be quite an experience. Not to mention, it's a friendlier option for your wallet too.
Is cryolipolysis (fat freezing) safe?
Absolutely, fat freezing is safe. This approach to shedding those unwanted fat deposits has come a long way since its first discovery. However, the core concept that started it all still holds true. Interestingly, the technique received the FDA's seal of approval for fat reduction back in 2010. When you're considering this method, it's a smart move to ensure that your chosen therapist is not only well-versed in cryolipolysis but also thoroughly trained in anatomy and physiology.
Are there any side effects?
Some common side effects of Cryolipolysis include: Localised sensitivity – this generally subsides within one week. A pulling  sensation during treatment – you may feel pinching if the fat area is compacted. Some clients may have hair on the area which will be pulled as the area is going into the 'cup'. We advise you shave all hair in the areas you are having treatment. Redness, bruising or swelling can be expected. As the 'cup' has to adhere to the body area it uses suction. For some clients the bruising can be more severe. You will be sked to fill in a consent form. Please advise us of any blood thinning medication or issues with dramatic bruising. If you do bruise afterwards we advise arnica orally and topically. as well as compression and, anti inflammation medication. A slight tingling or stinging sensation on the treatment site – this again usually subsides within one week. Very occasionally a rare condition called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia can occur, this happens more frequently in men and is where the cells enlarge in size rather than reduce. It is not fully understood why this happens.
